David Coussin Stone Setting

Saturday the 29th Philip and I went to the stone setting of cousin David Coussin. .Like all stone settings, this was both a sad and a happy occasion. We met family members that we had fallen out of touch. Minnie, David's sister was there. A marvellous woman in her 80's now she remembered me immediately and told me that she had a picture of my dad with me and my young brother Paul. Minnie lives in Balloch and said that she would like us to come over and speak with her This is a delight for me because I have had a boat moored at Balloch, on the shores of Loch Lomond, for many eyras and I am a frequent visitor to this lovely part of Scotland as its only 40 minutes form my home.. We also met David's daughters, Hillary and Donna and other younger members of the family. The younger members, grandchildren, did not know that we had a family website and were really interested in that. Its what Feival and I always say : its the younger family members that we do this for. Unfortunately some of the older family members may not understand that the younger folk are indeed, interested in what we are doing. They want to know their roots and where we are from. So spread the word.
