Abraham Simon Coussins died in November 1947 and his wife, Emelia (Milly) died in 1948. Both lived , at the time in 11 Minard Road, Pollockshields and were both buried at the Glenduffhill Jewish Cemetery .

In 1897, Leah “Jedlin”, “widow”, married L Goldberg (widower) in Glasgow. Leah’s husband, Isaac Feldman, must have died between 1894-1897 (although I could not find a death certificate for him in Scotland). “Jedlin” is another form of “Yedleck” (accent problems?). Leah’s parents are given as Abraham and Anne (= Chana/Hannah?). Leah is aged 29, therefore born c1867/8. In 1894, a Leah Feldman (born 1867) applied to the Parish for Poor Relief. Perhaps Isaac had just died?

In the census of 1901, the family are living in Edinburgh (see enclosed)- at 15 North Richmond Street. With them are Lazarus’s children from his first marriage (Benjamin, Moses, Mary, Katie , Harry, Jacob and Samuel), Rebecca (Leba) (with the surname Goldberg), and new baby Henry. HENRY IS NOW HALF BROTHER TO LEBA.

Louis (known as Rueben /Robert) was asked by his fellow music Hall artist Charles Chaplin to go
with them to Canada. He decided not to go. However here is the 1908 ship passenger manifest for
Chaplin and another friend, Stan Laurel . I am writing the family history with input from Ricky and other
family members and will include this interesting part of the 'story'
